Daniel Synagogue - Tehran, Iran (via beautyofiran.tumblr.com)

During WWII a group of Polish Jews survived the holocaust by escaping to Iran. The Jewish community of Tehran helped them establish this synagogue which became known as ‘the synagogue of the Poles’. The synagogue is still being maintained by Tehran’s Jewish community.
