news.com.au: Chilling video shows Chinese police transferring hundreds of blindfolded, shackled prisoners

«The footage, which could not be independently verified, was published to YouTube last week by a newly created account calling itself War on Fear. Clips were also posted to Twitter by the handle @warcombatfear.

“Our aim is to fight fear,” the video description said.

“The people of today’s society always live under the supervision of the government with high technology. People lose their freedom. The leaders of the Communist Party of China called them patriotic and loved the people. In fact, they only love the party and only love power.”

It added, “These videos were taken in China. This is the long-term suppression of human rights and fundamental freedoms by the Chinese government in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.”»

Abolish the Australian tax on menstruation

I'm Subeta, a 21 year old university student living in Sydney, and I'm sick of the government taxing my period. Because if there's one thing more inconvenient than getting a period every few weeks, it's being slapped with a 10% tax just because Aunty Flo is in town! Since the GST was introduced in 2000, every Australian who gets their period - there's about 10 million of us - has been forced to pay a 10% tax on every tampon and sanitary pad purchase. This is because the government at the time classed our sanitary items as non essential and undeserving of the tax exemption. On the other hand, condoms, sunscreen, lubricant and nicotine patches (just to name a few) were deemed essential and as a result are all tax free today!

Less than one year after the Fukushima nuclear disaster in March 2011, by its own admission, the Australian Government's Ministry of Agriculture all Cesium134 (134 Cs), Cesium137 (137 Cs) and Iodine131 (131 I). Iodine131 (131 I) testing ceased in early 2012 based on advice from the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA) and Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ).
Meanwhile the maximum safe levels for contamination were increased silently and without any media fanfare twenty fold in 2012. FSANZ also reported that Australia's Department of Agriculture ceased all testing of food from Japan. The official website itself declares that the Department of Agriculture decided on 23 January 2014 to not only stop testing for nuclear contamination, but to stop testing of any kind on food imports from Japan.
Tuna and sardines even from Thailand, far from Japan, canned many years ago and still available for sale with an expiry date later this year have been tested by independent persons with suitable equipment and found to have high levels of radiation.

Australian health experts are worried as the Trans Pacific Partnership negotiations are coming to a conclusion, based on the information they have read in WikiLeaks’ TPP releases. They are also seeking access to the negotiation documents, as the only information that has been released publicly is that which was published on WikiLeaks.

Happy Austrailia Day!

“Indigenous Australians occupied the continent for more than 65,000 years before the Europeans invaded on January 26th, 1788.

The population of Indigenous Australians was approximately 750,000 spread across 250+ nations.

Violence and diseases brought by the British immigrants caused the native population to decline by 90%, nearly killing all aboriginal people from the continent.

Today marks the day of an ongoing genocide.”

‘Australian Sarah Palin’ withdraws from election race after stating ‘Islam is a country’ (RT News, Aug. 10 2013)

Twenty-seven-year-old Stephanie Banister – dubbed in the media as the “Australian Sarah Palin” - was running for the Brisbane seat of Rankin in next month’s federal election. However, the ultra-nationalist has announced that she has pulled out of the race just two days after kicking off her campaign.

The aspiring politician was widely ridiculed after her gaffe-laden interview with Seven News, which was aired on Wednesday night and quickly went viral.

“I don't oppose Islam as a country, umm, but I do feel that their laws should not be welcome here in Australia,” Banister stated.

The would-be-MP also claimed that two per cent of Australians “follow haram,” apparently referring to the Koran - the central religious text of Islam.

“Jews aren’t under haram. They have their own religion which follows Jesus Christ,” the mother of two said.

Banister also used the word “haram” – an Islamic term used for something forbidden or sinful - when she presumably meant to say “halal,” which means the complete opposite.
